What controller are you using (optional)?
SmartThings
“I had 2 hubs one is smartthings v3 hub and other is aeotec smartthings hub, didn't link to the non aeotec hub but was quickly link to aeotec hub
Has 8 sound and cannot control the siren leve
Also cannot set the time that the siren worked.
I expected more for this siren regards that options
Didn't upload more sirens sound
Every siren has chime option that is loud and the same noise”
“Great device that can be used for various appication e.g door bell, siren, gas alarm etc as it has numerous different sounds that can be allocated to different situations”
“There are considerations you may take into account when you are purchasing the product:
- The siren comes with a power supply adapter but from pictures, it looks more like it is a power outlet plug socket.
- The volume is not the highest and having it under stairs, I can barely hear it in the bedroom upstairs. Ir may not even wake me up
- The device supports a variety of melodies/sounds. Once installed into Fibaro HC3 it makes many devices. Unfortunately, you can't change the melody apart from the first device. The rest of the devices stick with the default pre-selected by the vendor. (probably a Fibaro device support problem)”
“If you’re looking to use this with Fibaro gear then think again unless you want to get deep into reprogramming this unit at a base level. It’s not a simple task to have the tone as simply on or off and it’s not simple to select a different tone. Aeotec support was excellent but it’s not ideal to be reprogramming in hexadecimal when you just want to plug and play a siren.”
“If you are in the market for a mains powered Z-Wave siren, options can be limited. I’d researched products and it seemed to be between this Aeotec or the Heiman one. I settled on the Aeotec as I have a few other branded Z-Wave devices that work well. The siren itself is loud with 30 sounds and tones available to configure via Homey which is my choice of controller.”
