I recently bought 2 Z-Wave Plus Aeotec MultiSensor 6 from Vesternet. Their service was excellent, the sensors were delivered very quickly. When they arrived they were in excellent condition and the packing was secure. The actual sensors do what they say. I needed two PIR sensors, one with a vibration sensor and a humidity sensor. The Aeotec devices gave me what I needed. They work well and the light sensor is the best I have used on a z-wave device. The build quality is there to be seen, excellent. Very sturdy construction enhances the feeling of qulity and the excellent quality of the readings give you the impression that this device was designed by people that know what they are doing. Are there any down sides? Of course there are. I am using them with battery power. I cannot yet say what the battery life is like but assuming that the battery level reading is as good as other readings it will meet the specifications. In batteey mode you are restricted to the frequency of event checking if you are to maintain that battery life. This is not an issue for me. The sensitivity of the PIR at night, using battery power at least, is reduced. This means automations can take a little longer to be triggered at night. This is not an issue for me. So far the devices have been just what I wanted. If I need more similar sensors then I will use them. In fact I would recommend Aeotec if you want well buit prducts off the quality of these devices. And using Vesternet is a good idea, their service is excellent. This review was prompted for by Vesternet but I have recieved nothing for it nor do I epect to receive anything for recommending excellent services or products.

As someone entirely new to HA, both setting up the controller and deploying any sensor were entirely unknown quantities. Bought this and the USB controller stick to play with and get to understand a bit more about HA. Seems well made but as someone with no prior experience of z-wave took a little getting my head around to get it working with HomeAssistant. Its capabilities are impressive, and I will be getting some more when I am more familiar with the whole HA thing.

Very easy to set up, seems reliable so far. Very handy small and discreet unit, especially with recessed dock.

i prefer these Aeotec multi sensors bcoz they are very responsive when in a scene, example motion to light trigger, works instantly, but when compared to the fibre motion sensor, it take too long after motion trigger the lights on my stairs, almost pointless.

Working towards installing these in every room, they have proven extremely reliable and are very easy to install. The ability to power via USB is a real differentiator vs the Fibaro sensors which I also have several of. I'm powering them via USB using a 5v power over ethernet adaptor for a maintenance free install.
