Works well with all the software I've tried it with, Domoticz, Home Assistant, HomeSeer, Indigo, etc. The main benefit of the Aeotec over other devices is that it has a built in battery so can be used as a portable device - simple stop your Z-Wave software, unplug the Aeotec and go over to the device that you wish to Include / Exclude. Carry out the process (with easy to see progress on the LED round the button) and then plug the Aeotec back in and start your Z-Wave software. Simples. Although unsupported and will void any warranty, it can also be flashed with Z-Wave sniffing firmware too, very useful for tracking down issues in the Z-Wave network!

Great that it comes loaded with drivers for use on Mac however there is an issue with the Gen5 stick. If you are planning on using this on an older Mac Mini (late 2012 model) then you need to use the USB port nearest the power button at the back. If you use any other USB port then on rebooting you Mac Mini it will hang with a black screen until you remove the stick. Took me a bit of searching online to find this workaround but it’s a documented issue with other people on older Mac Minis. Hope this helps someone. Other than that it works a charm.
