Great little controller stick. Shame that the backup software is only available for Windows.

I chose this because as my first foray into HA, I wanted something that was easy to get going and a reliable branded item so I could worry about getting familiar with he concepts of z-wave and my HomeAssistant controller. It was exactly what I hoped.

Easy to setup, reliable with OpenHAB. One note that Raspberry Pi USB sockets directly may not work reliably - you need to use an external hub. This is a known and fairly well documented issue that doesn't detract from functionality at all.

This is an excellent devices to allow communication over a Z-Wave network. I am using this with a Pi 4, to allow Smart Control of many devices :-) Easily setup, this device is a joy to use :-)

I decided to give it a try as a last attempt to adopt zwave in my house after I gave up with razberry board. Surprisingly, with this stick I finally got a full coverage for my large house (3 floors + a basement) plus a garden without any issues. All devices are communicating in a stable and robust way now, so I would recommend if you're tired with the razberry board or just thinking about what zwave transceiver to use with your raspberry pi computer. The only drawback is that for the Raspberry Pi 4 you'll need an external USB 2.0 hub in order to get it to work - when connected directly to the computer's USB socket it does not work. Happily, there are a lot of small-sized USB 2 hubs around for just 3 to 5 eur price.

Usually works well. In some cases the physical switches sometime takes more than one press. The picture is for the 222 version (older)
