“So far so good. It copes with branches that are just that bit too big for traditional or even ratchet loppers. The carrying case is useful to keep all the bits together, but it's not perfect. I like the battery charge indicator on the side and it even comes with some lubricating oil. It's very easy to use and not too heavy. The batteries are also interchangeable with other Stihl handheld cutters. You need to read the instructions and use the two handed cutting technique for safety which is more of a challenge if you're on a ladder. Remember this is a mini-chainsaw, so you need to respect that and wear gloves and observe safety protocols. I find I now use it for smaller branches as it's a lot easier than loppers in many situations.”

“Great if you have a long man sized thumb!!!!!!!! What a pity the item is designed for a man with a thumb a certain length! I never knew my femimine thumb was so short that I could not use the stihl pruner without using my first finger to operate the lock swivel, and the middle finger to operate the trigger!! So its a bit awkward as a work-around.”
