Railway Sleepers are green pressure treated to ensure a long, strong life in gardens and courtyards. “2 of the 3 x 2.4m sleepers had splits the length of the timber which was very noticeable. Exchange refused on basis this was within tolerance for grade of timber. ie low grade timber but at a cheap price. 3.6m lengths of gravelboard were good quality. Service desk friendly and responsive and delivery quick. Overall will use again but maybe not for sleepers.”

We do apologise that you are unhappy with your sleepers, however, on review of the images provided we could see no fault with these posts that would prevent proper use. Cracks in tanalised timber are a normal characteristic to be expected, and as explained on our website, you will notice these open and close depending on the weather; We do make this clear on our website before you place your order by stating " Sleepers may contain splits and cracks. This is natural for a sleeper product and will not affect the performance on the sleeper. Please contact our customer care team if you have any concerns". “The service was great and I am happy with the quality of the sleepers provided. There were a few cracks and splits in the actual sleepers used but this was not a major issue to me. It’s not asthecially pleasing to look at if these things annoy some people but due to me already paying a daily rate for them to be put in I didn’t want to go through the hassle of a return.”

“I couldn't believe the price difference between you and others. b&q. I purchased 5 sleepers earlier this year from b&q very expensive...then I needed more so I looked online and found you guys...I truly thought there would be a compromise on quality and service...because of the price difference but they arrived in good time,delivered by a lovely man and they are just the same as my expensive bnq ones.”
