“I’d urge anyone who is looking to purchase from Suregreen to pay attention to the negative reviews. No doubt Suregreen will respond to this review as they have for all the other negative ones with the usual apologies and nonsense about being a small family run co etc. but the fact of the matter is that they are concerned only about the sale, they couldn’t care less about the customer. I ordered railway sleepers from Suregreen and they assured me, on three separate phone calls plus email that they could deliver on a particular date. I booked a gardener to help me carry the sleepers into my back garden at the cost of £150. We got to the property at 8am on the agreed day (delivery advised between 8-12) and at 10am called to see if it was on its way to be told that the van had ‘broken down’. I see a few customers have been told that in the past. Are Suregreen honestly asking their customers to believe that they only have one van that regularly breaks down to do all their deliveries in?! Come ON folks! Delivery was duly refunded and reorganised for Thursday but could not be brought through the house to the back garden. So they’re now sitting out front waiting waiting to be stolen before I can get someone to help me (I’m 60) carry them into the back garden. So in summary do not buy from Suregreen unless you don’t mind being lied to, wasting money while waiting for them to honour a delivery and pushed around to suit their agenda. Not impressed. I find it very hard to believe that a company which specialises in selling heavy garden goods like railway sleepers would have only the one delivery van. And when I booked the delivery and triple checked it would be possible as it was Easter Saturday, I was told that Suregreen were still delivering that day but delivery still couldn’t be guaranteed “in case the van broke down”. Honestly it’s laughable.”

Good morning Kate, Thank you for your feedback. I appareciate your frustated due to the delivery not arrving as expected. Our driver came back to our yard after the office was closed with a tyre issue. Due to the bank holiday, we were unable to get anyone out to replace the tyre in time for the next day's deliveries. First thing in the morning, we were in the process of contacting all customers, when you called us and we advised of the situation. This was completely out of our control and we contacted our customers as soon as our office was reopened the following day. As you called us and we explained over the phone, you then did not receive a written email explaining this again as we had already advised this with you directly. The goods have now been delivered, unfortunately our drivers are not able to go through your house to deliver the goods into your back garden due to insurance purposes. I am sorry for any disappointment and frustation this has caused due to the breakdown, this is also frustating for us not being able to get to our customers as expected. “Great sleepers that we turned into very good looking raised bed. Delivery was quick and the guy delivering was very kind and stacked them in the garage. It's not my 1st purchase I will use suregreen again and again”

“Have previously been impressed with the 200 by 100 standard sleepers, unfortunately these do not match from a quality perspective. Batch that was delivered had numerous stains, marks, chips and chunks out of them, and upon using the sleepers I subsequently found a number were quite badly warped. Wouldn’t buy these again - would instead get the 200 by 100 only from suregreen. If looking for smaller sleepers I’d encourage you to shop elsewhere.”
