Upon opening the package the lavender scent was very forward but by the next day it was much more subtle. I used these liners to put in the drawers of an old chest of drawers that had a very musty smell. This cured that ill and at the same time gave the chest an upgraded look. Other than the fact that they do not have an adhesive backing (I used double sided tape to lay down the liner), I am very happy with my purchase.
