“overall the hat seems to be showerproof, but the adjustment clasp is of very poor quality. it will not secure and hold in position, allowing the hat to come loose. I did not expect this from sealskinz. I have several golf hats and all of them have more secure clasps than this hat. on a positive note, I like the feel of the material and its material is not too thick, so great for sunny days out.”

“I didn't give this five stars because I've only wore it on two cycle trips. I used it cycling 70 miles in Ireland, on a trip there last week. The weather was typical autumnal weather there.. dry, with occasional showers. And it did the first job I wanted it to .. keep my head dry, very well. It also kept my glasses reasonably dry as well. I've yet to wash it, so seeing whether or not it keeps its properties is for another time. I'm very happy, so far, with this hat.”

“First of all it totally does the job. Totally waterproof, it just needs a shake when you get back in from a soaking. The peak sticks out far enough to keep the rain out of your eyes. For someone who normally has to buy XL hat/helmets I’m amazed that it feels pretty big on me. But the strap does a good job of cinching it snug without giving me a headache. It’s now my go to hat for walking the dog and kayaking. Recommended.”
