I purchased these mitts to use in the winter in Montana. Unfortunately our extreme weather is deeper than these mitts can handle. I was out shoveling snow at 14 degrees F and my hands were not warm. So, I would not recommend them for anyone who lives where there is actual winter.

Wore these gloves last week in Lapland and the temperature dropped as low as minus 20 and my hands stayed warm and dry would highly recommend.

Bought for my wife who has less than perfect circulation. No longer has white fingers and loss os sensation, they are excellent in cold weather.

Bought for a winter adventure to Finnish Lapland, they kept my finger toasty warm 98% of the time, I do have Raynauds! For walking, sledging, snowshoeing, skiing, huskying etc perfect, they got a bit cold on a snowmobile but it was -29 then add in the wind/speed chill factor which took it to maybe -35 and it was for 4 hours at a time.. however I took some 8hr hand warmers just in case and these slipped inside the mitten and I still had plenty of room to move my fingers etc and this combinations worked a treat. I found them quite tight to get on, (I followed the sizing rules) and quite short on the wrist; then I found if I pulled my wrist inside the cuff of my oversuit and then pushed it out again it all formed a great seal. Given that I was wearing 3 layers on my upper body, 2 layers lower body and 3 pairs of socks under a snowsuit plus a balaclava and hat the mitten were amazing! Overall I'm delighted with the performance of these mittens and would recommend them to anyone especially if they get really cold fingers.
