Ordered size according to size chart. Purchased online. I do not have wide fingers but fingers are a really tight fit, the fit is also tight across the knuckles. The shape of the glove is really flat across the finger webs. Does anyone have a totally flat shape across the base of the fingers? This means glove fits snugly around base of big fingers but sits too high above base of little fingers, giving a weird uncomfortable fit. Then because of the tight fit gloves leave fingers feeling cold and a bit numb even in fairly mild conditions. I brought these gloves because I really liked the water proof socks and they fit well - but shows me I should not assume that because a company does one product well , they will also do the other well. Recommend don't by these online unless you want to fork out the postage and the effort to send them back, buy if you can try them on first.

It's one of the better gloves I have had but the material finish is a bugger to use with Velcro fastenings as they stick like the proverbial to a blanket; making it frustrating opening and closing camera bags and coats with this kind of fastenings! Also, finger tips of gloves a little bulky making certain camera controls difficult to operate. Other than that a good pair of gloves. Steve H

I bought a pair of these gloves about 5 years ago and had been consistently impressed by them. They offer some warmth, are reliably waterproof, and they handled wear (rock scrambling and some secured passages) much-better than expected. I decided to buy another pair and intensify my use of them in the transitional months (In Austria, that's Nov-Dec and March-April). The new pair has the same design except for 1) extended/longer wrist covering - ok, 2) smartphone-enabled thumb and pointer finger tips - ok, and 3 slightly extended length of the thumb (or a lowered groove between the pointer and thumb) - nok. The "small" glove from 5 years ago fit then and still fits perfectly. The new "small" glove doesn't fit as well around the thumb. The product is good, BUT I personally don't prefer the extended wrist covering and I really don't like the change in fit around the thumb. I constantly have >1 centimeter of extra material beyond the end of my thumb and that complicates dozens of tasks. For example, the slack material gets caught in the buckle when closing a backpack. My frustration means 1 star less than perfection.

Bought for snow camping and mountaineering on Vancouver Island, Canada. Tried this weekend -5oC in dry snow. Pleased to say waterproof. Was filling water bottles through ice hole in lake and fingers stayed dry. Hands still dry after building snow cave. As advertised these are not thermal gloves so fingers stayed cold after putting on when finished cooking without them. I'd say limit for warmth is about +4oC. I'm pleased I had them with me as my son was wearing woolen gloves that were cold when wet and then frozen stiff next day. I've worn while cycling in the rain. Again I can report wind and waterproof. Oversized length of thumb and pinkie fingers for my hand. Other fingers were perfectly sized. Touch free fingers only worked some of the time but I didn't buy them for this and was happy to remove the glove when needed. Seem well constructed and I like the grip pads added. They worked well with walking poles and handlebars. I recommend these gloves for shoulder seasons when thermal insulation is not essential.
