I purchased waterproof gloves (black) for motorcycle riding. Perfect fit with recommended size chart. I liked them so much I bought a 2nd pair with high-viz yellow/black. No more wet gloves & cold hands!

Love these, they saved me in the wind and rain yesterday, cycling from Killarney to Portmagee. I was very glad I purchased them before my trip. Easier to get on & off in the rain than I thought they would be.

I have always used gloves for windsurfing, kiting and recently started using gloves for wingboarding. It cuts down the wind-chill from the 12-15C , year around water temperature. I bought Excel anti-gloves , surfing gloves but they are too thin and didn't last more than a week. These are certainly very good for thermal and wind-chill protection. However the extra thickness causes little extra forearm fatigue. You need more grip power when you bend your fingers. It makes quite a difference in longer sessions.

These gloves are the only gloves that will keep my hands warm. The only challenge is the lack of dexterity when using a paddle float etc. When I demo rescues I will need to take the gloves off-then put them straight back on again!

I have just ordered my second pair of these excellent gloves. The previous pair lasted over five years, including a lot of hauling on ropes while crewing on a tallship for 7 weeks visiting Antarctica. They are not particularly warm, but this is offset by keeping the hands dry. I buy the luminous yellow ones because I can find them in easily in the bottom of my rucsac, and because when used for cycling they make my hand signals more visible to motorists.
