“Just what I needed for walking and working my dogs to guns”

“I had some Sealskinz products before and was well impressed with their products. From past experience, I bought with confidence (and high expectation!) Sadly this completely changed with the Dragon Eye. I got these expensive gloves for their waterproofness for hill walking. I went for a 6 hours hike in the Dartmoor (UK) and it constantly rained. In a matter of minutes, the suede material of the gloves quickly got saturated with water (to the point I could squeeze water out of it). The waterproof membrane only goes to the wrist seam, so I made sure my hardshell sleeves covered that part at all time (my sleeves are long). Despite this, my palm got wet on the inside and the gloves started to accumulate water on the inside! Every time I lifted my hand up (checking my map etc) it was like emptying a small glass of cold water into my sleeve... To my disbelief, I checked the inside of the gloves at the writs and lifted my arm up and I could see water running along my skins from inside the gloves !!! I repeated this a few time to make sure it wasn't water from the outside of the gloves going into the sleeve, but no, it was from the inside. My forearm base layer got saturated and I had a cold forearms and hands for the rest of the journey to the point that I decided to remove the gloves and deal with freezing hands instead... I was surprised by this failure of otherwise excellent Sealskinz products I experienced in the past and decided to return the gloves. They tested the gloves and came back with ""no fault found"", which doesn't explain why the gloves were saturated on the inside. As I wore the gloves (only) once, they won't refund the gloves and returned them to me instead (their return policiy only applied to un-open packages, what's the point)!... Also, as noted by many, these gloves sizing are on the small size (very tight fit). No need to say that these gloves will stay gathering dust in the cupboard as I can't rely on these gloves.. I've wasted £42.50 !!! Disappointed.”

“After several uncomfortable walks with cold hands because my existing gloves got wet through in prolonged rain I invested in a pair of Sealskinz Dragon Eyes. I have used them several times in adverse conditions and they have performed very well keeping my hands warm and dry. My only complaint is that they seem very tight. The measuring guide suggested that I needed the large size. I never the less obtained the XL and they only just fit.”

“I had a pair bought 5 years ago that my friend recently lost. I loved them, but found the Sealskinz website and ordered a new pair. Despite other comments about them not being waterproof are in fact waterproof! My only criticism is that despite measuring my hand and I believe they run snad”

“I can't really give a review of the product because they were purchased as a gift. I did receive them promptly and in perfect condition. My boyfriend loved them, but hadn't gotten to try them yet.”

“These gloves cost more than I would normally pay but they are well fitted, windproof, waterproof and give excellent grip. I lost one but was so impressed that I bought a replacement pair.”
