Purchased online after reading articles on Skinz gloves, purchased these for a trek on mt Kenya and ended up getting the beginnings of frost bite on my fingers had to transition to another glove for the remainder of the trek. Also large size is rather small in length and overall fit.

Dear Jordan, Thank you for writing a review on our Dragon Eye Gloves. We are very sorry to hear that you felt let down by your gloves. This model are a multi use glove, with a thermal rating of 3 out of possible 5. If you were experiencing sub zero conditions on your trek then a glove with a thermal rating of 4 or more would have offered greater protection, as these are specifically designed for use in colder climates. For more information about thermal ratings please follow the link below; https://www.sealskinz.com/customer/products#product_thermal If we can be of any further assistance then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us at ukcustomerservices@sealskinz.com and we will be happy to help.

I ordered the XXL Dragon Eye Glove. I attempted to try them on my big hands but they did not fit. When I requested authorization to return them, the reply from Sealskinz was quick and included:""These are a small fitting model."" The return went quickly and easily.

Brought these gloves for a recent trip to the Lake District. As it was the lakes the weather was awful. Went out the first day hiking in the rain and within a couple of hours in the rain the gloves failed to perform. By fingers started to feel moist and by the end of the hike both gloves were soaked through. These are not 100% waterproof as stated.

I bought these for my son who tested them out in the Lake District over the New Year and he said they were excellent - fully waterproof, warm and yet not bulky. Ideal for walking.

Sealskins is a good name. Sounds like a really powerfully insulating material. These gloves are practically like not wearing gloves, they leave your hands so cold. So much online stuff saying same. Why didn’t I listen????

I bought the gloves to replace my cross country ski gloves that I have had for years. They are the perfect weight and warmth for skate skiing and appear to be durable enough. The reinforced index finger, thumb and palm are well done in leather yet the gloves still allow lots of dexterity. I have used the gloves down to -10 celcius for running, mountain hiking and XC skiing. I would think they are sufficient for any high cardio activity down to -15. The only readon i didn't give 5 starrs and my one recommendation to improve the glove is Seal Skinz should put the hook part of the velcro on the topside of the closure strap. With it on bottom side of the cuff facing out it will grab at any clothing and quickly ware out cuffs on a jacket's sleeve that come in contact with it. For sizing, I measured 9 inches which is a medium and I need my gloves to be tight yet I could not get my hand in a medium. I ended up getting an XL and it fits snug the way I like them. Great glove. Very well made and a perfect cross country ski glove.

Size feels somewhat small despite being medium. Cold fingertips when temperature dropped below zero. Enables mobile use without having to remove gloves. Keeps hands dry in wet conditions.
