The gloves/mittens are really good combination of the two which allows me to free fingers and thumbs to do fine work without having to take of a glove. My only other observation, which someone else's comment mentioned, is that the insulation in the mitten is a little thin and I found it was not keeping my fingers warm in the coldest weather recently.

There are plenty of great features, like the magnetic fasteners and the loops to pull the gloves off, and they are clearly well made. Being able to get to your fingers (including your thumb) is also very very useful for taking photos, opening snacks, sorting out kids jackets etc….But I would agree with the comments I’ve read on various other reviews- They aren’t really that warm (especially the main finger compartment-why not include a fleece liner?) and the thumb is too long. Other than that thoughI love them, and they are perfect for snow ball fights!

Good water & windproof mit, with a good service. The elastic is slightly tight around the wrist though. Hopefully it will stretch out. Any improvement could be a variable wrist fastening? Overall would recommend though.

The Quality of the gloves is excellent they fitted really well and are quite warm. The service was brilliant they arrived on time. My only criticism is they are not waterproof or water repellent which lets them down abit. No good for walking with on a typical cold wet British winter day!

These are the most well constructed convertible mitts I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. However they have a fatal flaw in my opinion, the thumb. There is almost no overlap in material where the thumb folds back, causing a near constant draft and thus near constantly cold thumb. Unfortunately I lost one of the pair in the woods while hunting this year and I don't think I will buy another, for reason of the thumb draft. If Sealskinz made a version of these with a solid, non folding thumb I would order a pair in a heartbeat.

I was very excited to receive my order but unfortunately I sent it back. I'm a woman with average size hands but unfortunately even the smallest size was too big. Please consider womens sizing rather that a generic one pattern for both men and women.
