I have been wearing these gloves in the cold wet rain we have in Vancouver, BC for the last 2 or 3 weeks. They definitely keep my hands dry but not as warm as I was hoping. My commute is about 25 minutes. If you're riding in weather around freezing you might need extreme cold weather gloves.

Tested left hand with Gore Wear, right hand sealskinz. Did a MTB ride over 25km. +3 degrees C. fog. After 90 min. the left fingers were much colder than the right. The Sealskinz gloves are much smoother, but don't have any pads in your palms. You can wear the gloves at every opportunity. Not only for a MTB ride. Missed a coating to operate the smartphone. Bought it and returned the GORE WEAR . Review from Gemany, please excuse my English!!

I’ve been searching for a pair of very warm, entirely waterproof gloves that weren’t ridiculously padded so as to make gripping things (ball for dog) a challenge for over a year – these are expensive but worth every penny – incredibly thing, incredibly warm, incredibly waterproof!

I haven't been able to test them very well because I don't have my bike yet. However I've tested them riding my motorcycle to see if my hands stay warm and they did!

I bought these to replace an ancient pair of Sealskinz gloves that had eventually worn out and leaked (in one finger only) when in the hills in February. I've not used them yet as it's not been cold enough. They fit comfortably and allow movement of thumb and fingers to grip. The zipper to close the wrist end might prove more convenient then Velcro (which had shredded the grippy bits on their predecessors). Let's see how they and I cope when it gets colder.

Measured my hand with a tape measure, and according to the size guide, my hand is ""Small"". The gloves fit my hand well, but the fingers are verging on tight width wise, and are anout 2 cm too long, making the move from brake lever to gears and back a bit of a pain. But well made, good materials, excellent service. Just designed for someone with very long and skinny fingers.
