Used for walking and cycling at very low temperatures and found mitts to be effective.

I get cold hands. It's not good, given I like walking to the top of very high things. The challenge I've had is a layering approach needs liner gloves, mid-gloves and then a good outer mitten. I was really hoping these would go over some other Sealskinz gloves I have and they simply don't. That said, there's still plenty of room for a liner glove and a chemical hand warmer but it wasn't quite what I was hoping for.

I've worn them several times riding to and from work at just below zero and they have kept my hands warm. Bit if a faff getting them on. They should get a proper test later this week if the snow comes.

Bought these for my daily road bike commute. At 5am in those cold frosty winter months the best cycling gloves I could buy simply didnt do the job. Fortunately so far the winter has been more wet than cold however these have had three run outs so far going down to windchill of -5 degrees and so far done the business and prevented ice cold numb fingers. These mitts are are actually quite light and not bulky and do feel like there made of quality materials. Note I have worn some thin cycling inner gloves as well although I'm not sure they are fully necessary. So its five stars for what appears to be a top quality product from Sealskinz.

Bought these & went straight up Kilimanjaro with them. Had very bad conditions & my hands started to get cold due to the severity of the weather, so used a liner glove with them & had no issues. Hands stayed dry throughout, would definitely recommend.

It was a hole in the inner lining when i got them. I have e-mailed customer service a week ago, and no response...

I bought these to replace a similar pair of Sealskinz mittens that had warn through (unsurprisingly, given the use they got). I have hands that are very sensitive to the cold, and these are great for cycling (although I still need to insert handwarmers when it is actually below zero Celsius). The outside is softer than the previous version, but I have no reason to believe that they will be less hard-wearing for it. It also makes them take up a little less space when storing them. They are also missing the ""visor wipe"" material on the thumbs that the previous version had, which was sometimes useful in the rain, but it's not essential for me.

Just home from 10 days in Canada and with a temperature range from -5 to -15, I never had cold hands. There is a loss of dexterity compared to gloves but this was never really a problem whilst skiing and found that I needed liners on when I went back to my previous gloves on one day for old times sake. Well made and comfortable. I would definitely go up one size to get the right fit. Outstanding service from Jeanette in Customer Service to make sure we were happy. Great job all round.
