I was bought a pair of lightweight Sealskinz overshoes for Christmas. They are almost useless - I say 'almost' because they do filter the water before it soaks my shoes. Medium size is at full stretch to fit a pair of small size 8 cycling shoes, and they leak like sieves. The fact that they only just reach the edge of the soles doesn't help, but the upper material leaks anyway (not from the top cuff). After an 8 mile ride on wet roads, my shoes are completely saturated; this is on a road bike with full mudguards - just from the spray. Oh, and the lining of the overshoes takes almost as long to dry as my sodden shoes. On a positive note, they are aerodynamic and keep my shoes clean(ish).  The picture shows my shoes after just a 1 mile ride on damp roads (not raining).

I have bought these overshoe 1 year ago. The nek is too wide, the sole is too soft, so after a bit of walking it was damaged very quikly. The zipper is already broken after some use.

I bought a size up - L, indicated for US size 10-12 - for my US size 9 feet becasue of the other , and the overshoe fits my bare foot with room to spare, but doesn't come close to fitting over my shoes. Even with some extremely thin, form-fitting shoes, I expect everyone will need to buy at least a size larger, unless the issue is the translation from UK/EU sizes to US sizes. I'm returning for the largest size available, which I expect will fit, but be warned that for shoes with a larger profile than loafers, even the XL may not be large enough for sizes over US 11, and I suggest ordering a size up even for shoes with a very slim profile. As I have been unable to actually wear the overshoes, I cannot speak to their performance.

I wear a men's 9.5 (UK). I purchased the large and in no way did it come close to fitting over the tread of a pair of lightweight Merrill mid-height hiking boots. The product photos definitely show these fitting over shoes with treads which does not appear to be the case.

Dear Dan, Thank you for taking the time to review our Lightweight Overshoe. Our overshoes are designed for cycling/biking and as such are manufactured to fit over shoes which you would wear for this purpose, which often have clips underneath to attach straight onto the pedals. This would explain why they did not fit your walking shoes as they are not designed to fit this sort of footwear. We are sorry that you purchased these for an activity that they were not suited for. Please contact us at ukcustomerservices@sealskinz.com if you need any help with product selection and we will be happy to help.

I ride everyday as part of a commute. Overshoes are essential. These fit well, are easier than most to get on, but are not robust enough. The tag at the back ripped off after a month and the lightweight material snagged and tore after a couple of months

Bought a size 12-14. Even though I am only a size 12 it was not nearly big enough to fit over any of my shoes.
