“I bought these oversocks with some trepidation having read some of the reviews. Yes, they are not that robust but knowing this I have been very careful in putting them on from day one (part way on before I put the shoe on helps) and carefully over the clips. After 7 uses now they are okay. They fit over the clip well but the heel easily pulls up too far almost exposing the back of the shoe, (they are the right size!). I bought them to keep my feet warm on cold days and to that end, they have been really good. As for waterproof, I don't think so due to the ease water gets in through the base of the sock that has the cut-aways for cleat and heal. Rubber socks will seal better of course. So all in all they are acceptable for a cold day but not for heavy rain.”

“Excellent covers for summershoes. I’ve tested them in heavy rain and after one hour trip my feet were completely dry. Highly recommended!”

“This is my second pair of over socks and am very disappointed. The cleat hole in the sole of one of the socks is so small the cleat on its own is not visible. These are good over socks but clearly there is very little quality control going on at Seal Skins.”
