“I bought these knee length Sealskinz socks for launching my sea kayak in spring and late autumn (ie lower sea temperatures) on a beach standing in about 10 inches of water in order to ease yourself into the kayak cockpit. I wore a pair of dinghy boots over the socks to prevent puncturing the membrane on the shingle. My feet remained totally dry when launching and landing. Went for a two hour kayak with the air temperature at approx. 7 degrees. My feet remained tolerably warm throughout( bearing in mind my feet aren't moving whilst sitting in the kayak).”

“I've only used them once. I used them driving to work on my bicycle in rain, just to test them before going to 24-hour Spartan Ultra in November. I also had my rain pants on, but the socks under the sealskinz got wet in the ankle and the sealskinz were wet on the outside at the exact same spot.”

“Just awesome. Two full days hiking throughout the woods, crossing multiple streams and shallow rivers (knee depth) and feet stayed dry all the time. Too bad there are no knee length socks for summer period (for warm weather). I have palladium pumpa hi sneekers and no goretex. Water comes in and goes away. Feet dry. Nothing more you ever want.”
