“Speedy delivery, really pleased with the performance of the waterproof socks. As a dog walker wet feet were a given, these socks are great. Have worn them in long wet grass on a rainy day, kept feet dry and warm. The outside of the socks will get wet but feet are dry and the socks dry quickly. Very happy. I also bought a pair for my employee.”

“Good socks but I don't think this would fit larger than size 6. Not very stretchy. I'm okay though as I'm size 6.”

“As an orienteer, you run through all sorts of wet underground - marshes, creeks, muddy pools and so forth. That can be really cold during winter. These are the best insulated socks I have ever tried. Also great to wear on a cold night in the event arena.”

“I bought these socks to wear with my wellies. They were recommended to me. They're a little big, but it means I will be able to wear another pair of socks underneath in the winter, but they kept my feet warm and dry and were very comfortable when I wore them all day for some reed raking on the fen. Just the job! Hoping they will wash well!”

Dear Sally, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our Hiking Socks. We are really pleased to hear that they kept you warm and dry when working outside. When washing your socks we recommend that you turn them inside out and wash them on a cool, below 40 degrees C setting. Please make sure that they are dried naturally, away from direct heat, such as a radiator. If you wish to wear a sock inside your Sealskinz we advise that this should be constructed of either merino wool or silk, as this works alongside the technology in our socks. Inner socks constructed from a synthetic material will not help any moisture escape the socks, and this will sit next to your skin and create a damp feeling inside. This can lead to your feet feeling cold. “I have several pairs of these socks, some 2 years old, I wear them in wellies and boots while dog walking, mucking out and riding, they keep my feet dry and warm and I wouldn't be without them, well worth the money. I also have the merino wool liners for when the weather is really cold, always have toastie feet! I am a size 5 and find the medium perfect, a little large on first wear but once washed and tumbled they fit perfectly, I have one pair of small and they are too small.”
