i used it out at sea, and i found it useful. my feet were dry. on the oth4r side, i found they were cold. so i guess i have to use some other socks over them or under them. but they are actually waterproof!

After years using the mid-weight model from Sealsinz, the thin fills a gap. While not as thin as I'd hoped, they nevertheless easily fit into my Giro Empire SLX road shoes, which is what I was hoping for. The gripper/sealing material at the top of each cuff is a good addition, though I can't yet attest to whether it will keep water from running in. I tend to duct tape the cuffs to my legs when concerned about them filling with cold water; testing will be required. For cold, wet riding without lots of rain coming down, however, the socks have performed great in cyclocross, and I am very happy with them. I expect many years of service from them, like my other pairs.

Wearing these with my winter cycling boots so dry and cosy feet! Good fit and not too bulky for summer shoes when the weather gets better. Excellent product.

No socks are 100% waterproof from my experience and these do eventually let water in if your shoes get saturated enough. However these socks are as good as it gets and are very comfortable. Only issue I have is the 100% waterproof claim. I've had 4 pairs of sealskinz socks and none have kept my feet completely dry so that should probably be altered in the descriptions.

The socks keep my feet perfectly dry when cycling on rainy days, with soaking wet shoes. They are however rather warm for summer.

I developed a allergic contact dermatitis to the Hydrostop. I thought it might have been just an irritation but after everything settled down after a few weeks I tried them on for a few hours and developed an allergic contact dermatitis right where the hydrostop touched my skin. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar problem?

These absolutely solve one of the two problems with cycling in the winter. It feels so good to go riding without having to worry about getting wet feet. But why on earth would you make them so useless in the cold? This is beggars belief, so you also want to really invest in some thermal socks to wear under these.
