I purchased these socks after trying two other brands. I’ve used other seal skin products in the past, with good success. I wore these socks on a hike in the Zion National Park, Utah, on a hike called the Narrows. It is a 10 mile loop hike down a slot canyon in water ankle to waist deep. The socks leaked after the first 10 minutes or so. Perhaps constant immersion is not what these socks are designed for…however, they did keep my feet warm while full of water.

Hi Mike, Thank you for your review. What a beautiful place to hike! Our socks are waterproof up to the cuff line. If the water level was above the cuff line (you mention up to waist deep water in some places), water would be able to enter the sock and would not have an easy time leaving the sock. If however the socks were leaking during a routine stream crossing of ankle depth water, this may be an indication of a manufacturing fault. If that was the case, please reach out to our team via help@sealskinz.com to get started with a warranty claim. Kind regards, Sealskinz Team

These work well but are very baggy round my ankles. Other socks by Sealskinz have been fine so there is something odd about this model. Subsequent contact with the Sealskinz customer service team was disapponting. I'd recommend buying from someone else!

I have two pairs of sealskinz socks that I have been wearing for years through winter cycling months. I thought I'd restock but the socks I was send are thin, baggy and... nothing like the pairs I have. I will be returning them.

These socks are a life saver in cold wet weather. Keep my feet warm and dry. Only slight criticism is that the latex (?) grip at the top eventually goes. But the socks are very good

Fairly comfortable socks that seem to keep my feet dry after a couple of wears. Time will tell if they continue to stay waterproof. My word of caution relates to the tight elastic tops of the socks. I played golf early in the morning and left the socks on for a few hours afterward. When I took them off the rubber lining at the top of the socks had rubbed away the skin on my lower legs, to such an extent that the wounds took a week to heal. I didn`t notice the irritation while they were on as the rubber stayed tight to my legs. I suggest you take them off straight after your game or roll the tops down. Beware!

Hi Mark, Thank you for your review. We were sorry to hear of any discomfort caused by the socks. We do recommend that the Hydrostop style socks only be worn for cycling or activities without much walking involved as the friction of walking/running has the potential to cause discomfort like you described. We hope that you will still find a use for the socks but please do not hesitate to reach out to our Support Team (help@sealskinz.com) if you have any questions or concerns. Kind regards, Sealskinz Team

Bought these for a long mtb ride in the rain. They are very comfortable and keep my feet dry and warm even though my shoes get soaking wet. I would highly recommend.
