I've bought these before. If you hike many days you will end up with wet shoes regardless of whether they are waterproof or not. Soaked waterproof boots do not dry quickly, many days. I hike in trail runners which both get wet and dry quickly, hours. Wearing and carrying waterproof socks means that I always have dry feet. The thick sealskinz socks take too long to dry. Days. The thin sealskins will dry more quickly, hours. People have caught on to this and subsequently the superthins are often out of stock. Company needs to make more of the thin socks. They would do well to produce more sizes as sealskinz aren't as stretchy as wool socks and getting them so that they don't don't ruck up or squeeze your toes, and cause blisters, is tricky

Bought these for winter golf - great decision, feet totally dry which never seemed to happen with my ""waterproof"" golf shoes. Will buy another pair

Bought the socks for the Commando run, worked perfectly, my feet were comfortable after running over an hour in mud. When swimming in the river the water finally entered my socks and when taking them off, i poured out 5-10ml water for each so they are definitely not letting the water thru. One more thing, i ordered size S (me 4.5) and they looked really tiny, made me a bit worried about streching the material but it fit perfectly eventually.

Purchased recently to wear for the North East Coastal walk from Berwick to Cresswell. (75 miles). I wore the socks every day (4 days) with a different pair of pop socks each day underneath. My feet stayed dry throughout the duration with the pop socks absorbing any foot moisture. I also tried them without pop socks. I found that the socks did retain foot moisture to a degree so they were not fully breathable but the socks still prevented any water getting in.

They are not waterproof - taped around the tops with ducktape - sealed completely - then had a shower as they covered the DVT sox underneath (rolled down) - the use as described to your staff - they both allowed in water. So did not conform to description or to the detailed description of the use to which I was going to put them that I gave when ordering. Not Happy, £30 spent on a product that did not perform as described (? sale of Goods Act) and suffered the remopval of two sopping wet DVT sox which were not supposed to be removed - Thanks a lot.

My husband and I bought SealSkinz socks to hike the Coast to Coast walk in the northern UK. They absolutely work. We wore them with a wool liner sock and our feet stayed dry in very wet and muddy conditions.

So glad they held up to the conditions, it looks like a very muddy walk from the photo! Hope you continue to enjoy using your Sealskinz socks.
