This SlimVent & Canopy set from Yale is a part of our comprehensive range of trickle vents that enables window and door manufacturers to meet the requirements of the latest revisions to Building Regulations Approved Document F in England and Wales, and the Scottish Building Regulations October 2011 Standard 3.14. SlimVent has been designed with these documents in mind, allowing an appropriate amount of air to pass through the window, helping to remove stale air and reduce condensation and mould. Proper ventilation through trickle vents enables people in cities or near busy roads to benefit from ventilation without having to open their windows. The documents call for rooms within a dwelling to have prescribed levels of ventilation, measured by equivalent area (EA). Vents are, therefore, classified by their EA performance. SlimVent is available in 2500mm² and 4000mm² EA ratings.
Matching the vent to various window colours is not a problem as SlimVent is available in combinations of White, Anthracite Grey, Black and RAL8022 Brown. Our sets comprise of an internal canopy and an external hood with an in-built fly screen. All vents are supplied with pre-fitted clips for quick clip-fitting into an optimal 13mm slot. Screw holes are present for those wishing to screw-fix. The vent will open to 30°, 60° and 90° angles.
