“Fitted pro-wrap to a pair of 200x200 gate posts, easy to fit using a paint stripping hot air gun, only problem I’ve found “of my own making” is I treated the posts with linseed oil before fitting the pro-wrap & have noticed it’s not stuck as well as it should do, I’ll have to go around the top with the heat gun again & hard roller to re stick the pro-wrap.
Note to self don’t use linseed oil where pro-wrap is being fitted!

“My hot air gun was too small at 1.8kW so had to use a clow lamp. No matter how careful I was, the plastic outer melted. I threw the product in the bin. An electric heat gun over 2 kW is recommended but outdoors, it's unlikely to get hot enough.”
“Appears well made amd is easy to apply. As to how effective? Well, we'll have to wait years (hopefully) to see if they actually work. Bearing in mind my last gate posts rotted through in seven years anything more would be a bonus. I also applied two coats of creosote as double insurance on tannelised posts.”
