Norethisterone, sold under the brand name Utovlan, is a synthetic version of the hormone progesterone, used to regulate periods. Norethisterone acts as a supplement to progesterone, keeping levels high so that the uterine wall does not shed as it does in a usual period, and will so prevent a usual period bleeding period.

“First time using there whilst away on holiday, periods are all over the place so wasn't sure they would work. Started taking 3 days before I left and continued for 9 days with no issues and 2.5 days after stopping, period showed up. Will definitely be using again”
