Very quick delivery and a good price. These boots have made such a difference to my dog he can now walk on pavements again he doesn't always pick his feet up since his Stroke , these boots are preventing his nails getting more worn.

Our old working spaniel wears these shoes most says. Having arthritic paws on Vet suggestion he needs his old paws protecting, work brilliantly, he loves wearing them hold his paw up to put them on. And on very hot days with overheated pavements are a great protection. This is his 3rd pair, and are exactly what it says "tough" boots.

These boots have been fantastic for my doggy who unfortunately is going lame. The boots have been great for gripping on slippery floors but also protecting her claws which have got very worn down and sore. The boots have never come off when she’s walking/running but give her much more confidence and comfort!!!

Products is ok. I bought these booties for a Springer for a 6day hike of the South Coast Path. The surface is mostly littered by sharp flint and gravel and he gets sore paw pads. The booties fitted well as per product measurements, stayed on and lasted well. There's hardly any sign of wear on them after the trip. Skip wore the booties on average 3 hrs per day with about 60min rest in between each session simply to give him a break and to keep him cool. They protected his pads well, but have made him sore on top of his feet and around his leg. I suspect this was because the box of the trainer was still too narrow for his paw, but the neck was too wide and rocked up a bit when fastened. Mountain dog recommends using boot liners to prevent the issue. I think the flaw is in the design and Skip would need wider bootie with narrower or more elastic neck.

Hello Katerina, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Glad to hear that the product worked for what you had intended them to. We understand the concern you had around the soars on the top of your dog's feet. However, we do recommend wearing socks when your dog wears their boots. The reasoning behind this is because with the socks being on, the tapered cuff keeps the boot liner in place on the dog's paw which keeps the boot in position on the paw to reduce rubbing. They are also good for drying quickly if wet on your adventures, which keeps their comfort level to a maximum. Our Ruffwear Griptrex doggo boots are the best boots that we sell with a high rating across purchases. Alternatively, you could try some foot wax. We sell mushers foot wax which helps keep your pooches feet moist and comfortable. It is also great for when you have a snowy holiday, it prevents snowballs from forming on your doggos paws. We do understand however, they are not for everyone. At Mountain Dog, we have a range of other alternatives that you may find better for your furry friend the next time you travel. You can find our collection of boots here: https://www.mountaindog.uk/collections/boots-shoes-socks. Thank you for shopping with us, we hope to see you again soon.

The Ruffwear - Grip Trex dog boots have been a sound investment. The context for buying them was that we have an active elderly (14 yrs) Springer Spaniel who has a low grade growth between his two pads on one foot. Having this growth protected when walking has been essential to preventing the growth lacerating or puncturing. As a result our dog continues to enjoy two walks a days in woodland and open heather. The quality of the boot has also justified the additional cost as other boots purchased elsewhere have not lasted.
