“A bit disappointing for the price really, the end-of-line colour I bought made it cheaper but that doesn't excuse it. If Ruffwear want to charge premium prices for their leads they should be built accordingly as they are meant to be a premium durable brand as opposed to a fashion one where it might be understandable. I bought this so it would match my dog's harness and collar, but I think the Ezydog 48" bungee lead is better made than this and is a comparable price. It does have the same issue of the unnecessarily short traffic loop though. The Front Range Leash is made from fairly thin material which although fairly grippy is also a bit harsh on your hands if your dog doesn't walk on a slack lead. It is also starting to crease after around 2 weeks of use on a 10kg dog, which isn't something I've ever come across before with a lead and doesn't bode well for longevity. The padding in the handle doesn't seem to be as sturdy or comfortable as neoprene that other manufacturers use and I'm not sure why Ruffwear don't use neoprene as it's a tried and tested material. The traffic handle should really be slightly longer because they seem to be designed for short people with tall dogs. I'm 6 ft 3 with a field spaniel size dog and have to hunch to use it without lifting my dog's feet off the ground. This is with 1 finger through the closest end of the loop. The clip is a bit overengineered, the release mechanism has to be angled to clear the blocky D rings on Ruffwear collars/harnesses. If you used another brand's harness it would have a normal D ring so this wouldn't be a problem, which makes it a strange issue to have.”
