“The "no-pull" harness reduces the pulling, but although he's a big dog his legs get caught in the retractable lead more often because it's in front of him and lower, and the harness twists (because the front central ring pulls it around). I bought the same size as his previous Hurtta harness but it's not as good a fit. Looking forward to the time when my big pup calms down and can return to the original harness, but in the meantime this does make walks more comfortable for me.”

“We bought this with the hope that it would stop our 1 year old chocolate lab from ripping my arm out of the socket!! It has achieved that and she walks pretty well with it. The only negative is that it can be a little cumbersome to put on, but that may just be me”

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review Elizabeth. Whilst it is not a common problem, some customers find the over-head style slightly difficult as some dogs become nervous when the harness is brought towards the face. What you may find is that by providing your dog treats whilst feeding your dog's head through the harness, they will develop a more positive and calming relationship with the harness, making it easier to put on. Alternatively, when getting a new harness the straps and buckles can be slightly stiff for the first few times using the harness. The more the harness is used, the easier it will be to buckle up and remove from your furry friend. We hope this helps with your situation! Mountain Dog Team.
