Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

“It easy to put on my Border Collie and fits well. He is quite arthritic so the handle is usefull for helping him get into cars etc. I like this harness because it gives additional support under the chest. This is the third Ruffwear harness I have bought from Mountain Dog and find well made and robust. .”

“Great harness. Fits really well and seems comfortable. Good to have lead attachments front and top. Handle great as he’s a big Labrador, so good for assisting over difficult stiles etc. Very bright colour though - would be good if there was an option for black.”

“Really happy with this harness. We have a bearded collie who we believe will now not be able to back out of a harness. It’s lightweight and reasonably quick drying. The handle is really useful too. I wish I had bought one a long time ago.”

“We wanted a lightweight harness for our greyhound who is very strong on the lead when she sees a rabbit! This harness is excellent, lightweight and just goes over the head with easy clips on the body. She has worn it every day on holiday walks with no problems. Also really good service from Mountain Dog, the harness arrived very quickly.”

“Love this harness. It's my third one (one was a gift). The new style fits a little differently from the older model, just FYI. They are sturdy and long-lasting. The handle on top is fantastic to be able to lift my older dog into the car and the three straps keep her securely harnessed - no slipping out backwards! Highly recommend!”

“So far this product is just what we need, a light weight summer version of the fuller Ruffwear full body, no escaping harness. Fits well. Hopefully it'll be as robust as the heavier one in time.”

“Five stars for being perfect for our arthritic collie, who needs help with steps, slopes, getting in and out of the car and sometimes just getting up from lying down. He wears it all the time now, and we are confident that it fits him comfortably and well. He actually has two - the old red one and this new colour. The handle is just in the right place. I wish the straps of the new ones were the same colour as the main part of the harness, but I don't suppose Amos is that fussy”
