Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

“Bought this lead to go with the front load harness. Doesn't disappoint in looks, or quality. It's lightweight and the metal clip is very easy to use. Its also slightly longer than your average lead, making it really good if you take your dog running or use a lead a lot when out and about in the country. My only criticism is the 'close control' loop. Its fixed right at the bottom of the lead and (I presume) the same size on all the leads, so doesn't take the height of the person or the dog into consideration. My collie is on the small side and I'm tall (5"11) so its only usable if her front paws are off the ground. I'm happy with my purchase, but a design tweak is in order to make this the 'perfect' purchase.”

Thank you for the review Mel! I'm pleased you like most aspects of the lead, and you're right about the close control loop's location on the lead - as they're a standard size they don't take into account your height! We've passed this feedback along to Ruffwear, so hopefully future improvements will include something for taller dog lovers too :)

“Instant hit with our Collie. She usually hides from harnesses but is happy to be clipped in and wears it for hours without it rubbing or causing any discomfort. The clips are well padded and her fur does not catch in it. Also strong enough to hang onto her (for short period) to help her up rocks on Dartmoor and washes up a treat. If I had to point out anything, it would be that the metal lead clip on the top of the harness tends to 'pop up' when she screeches to a halt, but that's more to do with the breaking speed, not the harness.”

“Nice collars (bought with matching leash), strong but light, well made, nice colours, clips are sturdy, better than many that are more pricey. Fast delivery and packaged well.”

“Excellent harness. I was recommended this over the Julius K9 range and I couldn't be happier. The front strap on the harness doesn't cut into the dogs shoulders. Great colour range and sizing.”
