Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

“Brilliant harness/backpack, especially for short day trips. Despite the slim appearance, the side pockets can actually fit quite a bit in them. The anti-pull mechanism also works quite well. This is a very well-made, high-quality backpack and I would definitely recommend. In fact, I’ve already recommended it to many friends and family members!”

“Perfect. Easy to adjust. Jasper not having worn a halter of any sort before got used to it really quickly. We've had lots of practice walks, before our first climb together up Ben Nevis next week, this should be just the job for Jasper's. biggest climb to date.”

“Fantastic harness that’s easy to use and looks great. My dog is a bit of a Houdini hound so I needed something that would reduce the chance of him slipping out. This does the trick.”

“This is a brilliant option if you want an adventure harness with pockets for your pooch! The quality is fantastic and the metal attachments for leads are absolutely solid - so no anxiety about them escaping your control. She's ran through brambles, barbed wire and hedges and it hasn't shown a scratch. The handle integrated on the harness is super handy for lifting her in and out of the car or pulling her out of a difficult spot on rough terrain. My 11 Month old Vizsla fits the small perfectly (she's quite a small vizsla) but there's plenty of room for her to grow as the harness is extremely adjustable. On our adventures she carries her own water bowl/poop bags/biscuits in the side pockets. Which is pretty much all she needs! Ive been toying with the idea of putting a GPS tracker in the pocket too as there is plenty of room. But when the pockets are empty it's quite streamline and sleek. All in all just about the best option for adventure buddies!”

“I bought this harness as a replacement for a Ruffwear webmaster harness that has grown too small. I liked the fit and handle of the webmaster so went for this Switchbak harness in a size bigger than previous. It fits great and the handle on the back is very useful for helping Scout over gates and styles. We live in Fort William and have a lot of long hill days. This harness is comfortable and durable enough to last for whole days out on the hill (often in bad weather). The pockets are a great addition and Scout will now be carrying her own snacks and poo bags. It looks even smarter than the previous harness and the colour is lovely. We look forward to testing it on bigger days when lockdown is lifted and summer comes.”
