“Great quality, as usual from Hurtta, so why only 2 stars? The size chart displayed on both the Mountain Dog website and the Hurtta website clearly display that the leg length on all sizes are adjustable, but they no longer are. There was no leg adjustment on the 30S that I ordered and according to Hurtta's own website there isn't any adjustment on the other S models either. Mountain Dog customer services, who by the way are brilliant, were unaware that Hurtta had changed the specification until I contacted them and they physically checked their stock. Bizarrely the Hurtta website still shows the size chart with leg adjustment on all groups but then contradicts it by stating "Adjustable leg length on group M and L".”

“I did a lot of research before I purchased this product for my Cocker Spaniel. She gets very muddy so I hoped it would mean less baths! I was very impressed with the product initially - although I found the poppers on the front legs weren't popping very tightly but managed to resolved this. However, my dog is very active and on a few occasions my dog's front leg came out while she was running. Fortunately she got back to me safely each time and I managed to put the suit back on properly. Unfortunately the same thing happened today but she had got under a fence into some woodland which was not accessible to me. When she came back she had managed to get the whole coat off and it was nowhere to be seen and I could not get into the wood to look for it. Sadly I won't be buying another Hurrta downpour suit in case this happens again. (Great service from Mountain Dog though)”

“What a game changer! This suit is amazing and well made. Slightly on the big size but my cocker spaniel is long but short and skinny. It does the job keeping him dry and mud free which saves me washing and drying him daily. Would recommend this product to fellow dog owners as well as Mountain Dog . Great website, good service and quick delivery.”

“Bought this last year when Oscar was still only around 7 months because I was looking for a coat that wouldn't matt his fur, given that he's a poodle with a relatively long cut. Unfortunately although it fit him with a lot of adjustment, he really still needed to grow into it. Consequently when he was running around with the other dogs like a puppy possessed, his legs sometimes came out of the legs and into the body section and he'd nose plant into the ground. I decided that was a little on the dangerous side, and so although I liked the coat, I thought it better to wait until he grew into it properly. Now that he's pretty much fully grown, it's working out really well. He can still run around like a lunatic in it, and although in real monsoon weather it's not 100% waterproof, it certainly keeps him a lot drier and definitely cleaner. At first, because it rustles a little, he simply sat down and didn't move. Once he realised that his sit-down protest wasn't going to work, he was was absolutely fine, and after a few minutes forgot all about it. Now I just need some wellies. I would like to attach photos to this review to show how much drier it keeps him, but can't see how to do so at the moment.”

“I'm a penny pincher but bought this in desparation as the mud sticks to my boisterous Cockapoo's woolly coat which also absorbs the rain like a sponge. No longer ....apart from his muddy feet and wet face one wouldn't know he been for a walk...well not so much a walk as a race around.”
