Ordered these thumbs for my keen 11 yr old despite reading some reviews which said they were expensive and some of them didn't work. Ј14.97 seems incredibly expensive for two small plastic thumbs containing lights. On arrival today, one light just flickers on and off and the other you have to press incredibly hard to get it to light, and even then it flickers. The light mechanism is stuck into the thumbs so there is no way to take it out to change the battery yourself or try and fix it. Also, presumably this is also so that when the battery runs out you have to buy a new set of thumbs. I can imagine for the lucky customers who received thumbs in good working order and were happy to pay over the odds for them, they might have some fun but I wouldn't recommend them. Speedy delivery was the only good thing about this order!

I bought this as a gift, and it has been well recevied, but the item is smaller than my expectations, which is fine.

Bought this for my grandson for xmas. What a load of rubbish, was cheap and nasty, how they can justify the price i will never know. The trick would take a child some time to master providing they had fingers big enough to fit into the thing.

The lights are attached to fake thumbs which u put over your own thumbs but they are far to fake looking and big for my ten year old .bit of a rip off for the price you pay

This product seems to be targetted at those diehard 'suspend your disbelief' magic fans who can easily get over the fact that what they've bought essentially amounts to two (in our case, ill-fitting) rubbery thumbs that light up.'Astound your friends and family!' My daughter was astounded (as in, 'What the heck have you bought me?').OK, so this product isn't a toy - It's intended for wannabe (serious?) magicians. However, I'm afraid my daughter couldn't take those thumbs seriously at all and just laughed dismissively at them.Overall then, I'm going to have to give this product the thumbs down!
