Marvin's Magic Box of Tricks (125 Tricks) Reviews

3.4 Rating 248 Reviews
My son was given this for Christmas and was very excited to open it and learn how to do his first of the 125 advertised magic tricks. However, the set doesn't even include a small pamphlet to give young magicians a clue on how to do the tricks, and although there is a card with a link to a website, all that you find there are more adverts for different products, and videos of people doing the tricks at high speed as though performing to an audience, not showing you how it's actually done. I know that magicians aren't supposed to reveal their secrets, but a magic kit aimed at young children should include at least some instruction. Very disappointing, especially for the money.

My now 6 year old was very excited about the possibilities of what he could accomplish with his first magic set. We figured out a couple of tricks, but the remainder are a bit tough for him to fathom out. Perhaps more for 7 to 8 year olds. Needs lots of assistance to get going. But otherwise, fairly good value for money and it will grow on him. So not all is lost.

It set is so much fun for kids (and big kids) The book of instructions were very easy to follow and we didn't end up with part lost all over the house. Heaps of fun.

The tricks are quite complex and difficult, my child is 7 and I had to help her on every single trick! The foam rabbits ripped very easily and used once for a trick!

Our Grandson (7) was very pleased to receive this gift. Will probably need adult help to get to grips with it but it seems like a good way to get started. There is already a wand in this set so no need to order one.Only given 4 stars as we don`t know the outcome yet.
