I liked a lot about these pens but I think they also have a few downsides, so I'll do a positive/negative list I thinkPlus points -+ They're easy to use once you get them ready - the instructions say to shake them, then press the nib down a couple of times to get the ink down on the back of the cap - but I found it took more than two presses to get the ink flowing and then you end up with ink in the cap.I found it was better to shake them with the cap on, then remove the cap, press down a couple of times then press and hold the nib down and you can see the ink slowly make its way down the nib. When it gets the end, it's ready.+ Does give a nice effect, silver with a thin outline of twelve different colours+ Pretty good value at Ј12.99 at the time of writing, so just over Ј1.08 a pen seems very fair for an unusual pen.Downsides:-- They say it's non-toxic and safe for kids which I don't doubt, but they do give off a slight chemical fume smell which isn't overpowering but is noticeable, so I'd only let children use them supervised, in a well-ventilated area and not for too long- They are quite thick so smaller children might struggle to hold them- The two different pink colours don't really look different enough - I struggled to tell them apart, but maybe that's just me - see 2nd photo- The instructions do say to "practice" on paper first, so it's implied they're only suitable for use on card - they do bleed through standard paper and onto the next sheet - see 3rd photo for the rear of the paper- They'll only work on white card - only the silver is metallic, the other is just standard ink so if you use it on darker card, you'll just get the standard silver with no outline as it is hidden by the darker colour - see fourth photo (this also shows you get some spare nibs, not sure if this is because the nibs tend to break?)If you accept these limitations they're a pretty good product.

These are brilliant set of 12 markers that have a silver background mixed with a coloured ink that once put to paper or card or any other substrate the ink splits to the outside of the line drawn and the metallic silver paint stays in the centre giving a nice sort of flowing rainbow effect. You do have to press down a few times to get the ink flowing but once it does it flows nice and smooth and evenly and gives a really cool effect that everybody would love. These pens would be amazing for card makers particularly using dark coloured card like blues, blacks, dark greens etc and will be brilliant for Christmas cards or birthday cards. In general a really cool set of pens that work out a couple of pounds each so they're not going to break the bank and they'll be enjoyed by all young and old.Hope this helps.....

They're nice, chunky pens, easy to hold and are quite fun to play with ... but the much-vaunted two-tone effect depends entirely on bleed-through. If you use them on good quality paper or card (as in the first photo) there is no colour effect at all. It just looks silver. At the other end of the scale, they're fine on the cheapest paper I tried ... but the reverse of the paper tells the story. Fortunately, I was doing it on a surface that didn't matter, because those marks on the board don't rub off - it'll need a solvent to tackle them. So, yes ... they're fun ... but they're quite pricey and the results are very uneven.

Mostly great. the metallic colour's are really nice in these pens and they do down down on paper and stone really well. the only issue i had was the ink ran a little fast with some of them pens so it's a good idea to test them out on some scrap paper before using them as some ink's flowed well and others a bit to fast.

I do love a good pen and these didn't disappoint. The way they work is so cool. When you use them, the middle part stays silver, and only the outline gets coloured. It's like magic on paper! These markers have added a fun twist to my colouring projects. They bring a unique and eye-catching effect that makes my artwork stand out. I highly recommend these markers to anyone looking to add a touch of magic and creativity to their colouring.

These are the kind of pens you need to shake with the lid on to get them to work. They're very pretty. It's a silvery colour that comes off them. They bleed through normal paper but they're ideal for card. What I'm using them for is designing birthday cards for my children's school friends. They're ideal also for certain crafts.Reasonable price.
