“I love any type of building toys. So do the kids, it gives them a chance to use creativity and figure out different ways to do stuff. It helps them learn they don't always have to live by the book.My niece and nephew loved this and their mom appreciated the hours they were not fighting over the video games.”
“I would give them 10 stars if I could. As a preschool teacher of 25 years, I consider myself an expert on toys. This is the best toy to hit the market since magna blocks, and in my view this toy actually improves on magna blocks, as the difference in versatility is like going from a flip phone to a smart phone. Ordering the second set of what will soon be a huge collection. Well done Clixo.”
“These toys are trying to compete with other building block style toys with a big difference. These are flexible and only connect at certain points. This makes the things they can build more simplistic and yet more creative as well. It's hard to describe but I do like this type of toy as a suppliment to the traditional building blocks. It provides a different type of challenge, one that I don't recall seeing in any other toys.Comparison:Legos = Build block by block to form crude shapesKinnex = build wireframe version of thingsClixo = build the outer surface of the things.Overall, I would recommmend this toy for any kids who like to build things and already have Legos. If they don't have Legos yet, I'd probably recommend those first.”
“Im always trying to one up my brother by spoiling his kids with the newest and coolest toys out there, so I want to give the CLIXO team a big thanks for solidifying my spot as the “Coolest” and “favorite” uncle!Highlights from the parents1. Easy to clean up - While it may be fun for the kids to build their crazy inventions using all the pieces in the pack, its just as easy (and dare I say it… fun) for my brother to rip them apart and stack them up so much quicker than other building toys that they might even feel guilty about taking apart.2. Portable - Although they havent had too much need for the portability due to the pandemic, he mentioned that its pretty easy to toss them in the bag to bring over to the grandparents house for a visit.3. Viable alternative to screen time - Theyre always trying to find new options to limit screen time, and this toy was a great option to claw back the hours.Surprising highlight from my personal play time with the kiddos - it challenged me more than the kids to come up with new creations without instructions.Initially, it was intimidating for me to build my first object beyond a simple ball, and I was confused as to why I couldnt “get it”. However, (forgive the pun) it finally CLICKED when I saw the kids have fun making the most random creations even if it wasnt close to the actual object they were trying to make. I had to get over my own mental barriers of potential failure, and instead, see creation as a challenge and to just go for it! While this mindset is probably too deep for the kids to understand, it was a turning point for me and Ive been recommending CLIXO to all the parents I know.Enough of my own personal epiphanies… As a former engineer, Im always trying to find ways to encourage my niece and nephew to take an interest in the sciences and explore their creativity, so I considered myself lucky to come across this toy in my search for the perfect gift.”
“I was drawn to this construction toy by the compact nature of it. My kids love to build things, and blocks, legos, etc take up so much space. This set is compact, but my 4.5 year old and 8.5 year old were unimpressed.I really wish I could have given it a higher score. It's a specialty niche sort of toy that isn't going to take off. At least, that's my take. Wish I could say otherwise. I truly hate giving this toy a low review, because it's so compact. But my kids didn't like it, and I also found it uninspiring.Sorry :(”
