“Panel arrived quickly, was well packaged and reasonably priced. Pretty easy to fit for a experienced DIYer. Looks very good in situ. As a belt and bracers I applied fire resistant foam along the internal edge of the apperature from within the ceilling space to ensure an air tight seal but that might have been an overkill but it put my mind at rest regarding it being an airtight fit. I would have also been happy if it had some form of intumitant strip along the back of the pictureframe to provide same.”

“Unlike the review above my hatch did not come with fitting instructions. Not a problem as it was pretty straightforward - just make sure the screws you use have a fairly small head as a poorly seated screw head would foul with the door edge. I also had the problem that the lock / latch mechanism was overpainted and jammed so this had to be cleared before fitting hatch. Otherwise good product , good delivery and good service.”

“A hatch is just a hatch isn't it. Nothing special, until the thing in front of your sticks, has twisted mounting flanges, doesn't lock properly - in fact there are lots of things that can be wrong with a hatch... Thankfully this hatch appears to be excellent quality, fits easily, and operates well. Do read the instructions before fitting. It's best to remove the fire-rates hatch liner before fitting.”
