It's always hard to give a 'star rating' for such an affordable whisky. It's 5 on price, maybe 3.5-4 on taste. But hell, do you want a half-decent whisky for not too much, or do you have delusions of grandeur?! For a whisky afficionado it's not too shabby. For a whisky ? snob, why would you even comment here? It's decent, it's affordable - do you want to enjoy drinking whisky, or is your interest in criticism of something way below a price you would (like to) be able to afford? I LOVE whisky, I totally adore whiskies that cost a week's wages for a bottle. But that's not most people's real life, so yes, buy this whisky, you'll not be realistically disappointed!

Peat and brine nose. Gentle silkiness in the mouth, the taste intensifies once swallowed. Not a long finish but a very fine Islay at an exceptional price. If you are starting on your Islay journey, this is an excellent choice.

Some people say this whisky is from Ardbeg or Caol Ila. I think the smell and the taste are coming from Port Askaig.
