I don’t really know about whiskey but I like to make out I do by buying expensive malts and telling my mates that it is my favourite. On that basis this is my favourite.

When I first tried I thought I had made a big mistake. Left it a few days and gave it a few hours with cork out. Now it is excellent!

This is an excellent whisky I had been looking for and house of malt were the best value, ordering was so easy and delivery was very timely and free which is always a nice touch. Will definitely use this company again when looking to purchase another single malt whisky.

Bought as a gift for Father’s Day. After a small mix up of receiving the incorrect bottle, customer service dealt with this swiftly and resent the correct one within a day. It is now sitting proudly on there whiskey shelf with a couple of glasses consumed. Thank you for a great service and will purchase again from here

I have tried a number of really top quality whiskey but this is by far my favourite. It has a complexity that you simply don't see in most sweet sherry bombs. Usually after 21y of sitting in a cask you lose some sweetness and you gain the smooth and complex feel. Here you have the best of both worlds. The overall nose is sweet cane sugar, you get sone oak, you also get spice in there, namely nutmeg and cinnamon. The spice feels faint and relaxing as if it's tempting you to find it but not giving itself away freely. Adding 1-3 drops of water opens up the nose further, you begin to smell the oak and spices more. Palate: The oak and sweet cane sugar follows from the nose, the spice becomes even more subtle but is a great contrast to the sweet notes, it's smooth and thick in texture with such a great warmth that adds a real sense of indulgence. The spices become more complex with a few drops of water and vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and something I'm unfamiliar with which I will describe as (black pepper toasted in honey). I apologise if that doesn't make sense but it's the best I can do. The finish It's long and sweet, the flavour of oak lingers on your tongue, it makes this dram a glass that can last you hours, it's delicious and it is impossible to rush something that can provide so much in every sip. If you haven't bought a bottle yet you definitely should
