Recipient of this bottle was pleasantly overwhelmed by the smell, explosion of rich smokey tones and lingering tingles of the after taste. They also expressed excitement of enjoying this with a cigar in future. Excellent buy /present for established whiskey drinkers

Full bodied, sweet and smoky, overall a very fine drop, but having now tried both, prefer the less sweet Corryvreckan ,another excellent example from Ardbeg.

This is without doubt my favourite whisky. Perfection on the palate. I've tried all of the Ardbeg core range, as well as many other Islays above and below £100, and this is the best. The sherried casks and Islay peat are a match made in heaven
