This is the second one I have bought, one for the car and one for general use. A great multi-purpose back pack. You can add loads of other kit via the generous straps, and its waterproof as well. A real bargain and a great bit of kit.

Simply the best, my favourite rucksack. It is a 40-ish litre belgian armed forces backpack, waterproof and built to last. Furthermore you can, as the images show, mount mats, dray bags, etc. onto the top and bottom which is a nifty treat when you need the extra kit for a trek. I use these primarily to help me shift my most valuable books around, as the bag keeps the interior dry as a bone and cool as well, all the while ensuring they do not get damaged while I move the bag. I really could not recommend something better, and as a plus the bag fits snugly into most budget aircraft saving you money on suitcase fees. Seriously, buy it. Learn that you cannot go without one, or in my case four.

Bought two of these to use as motorcycle panniers. Brand new, bagged, with minor storage marks. These can hold an amazing amount of kit, compared to my standard throw overs!. external straps, so you can secure your tent/ roll mat/ sleeping bag to the outside, and external pockets as well. Cant believe the price!! "Awesome

Not sure this is actually 40 litres, more like 20-30ish (i have a 100L pack that can hold well over 4x what this can) but good quality, hardwearing, simple & functional, will stand up to a lot of abuse. No padding on the straps (you can see this in the pictures) but it's a very light build and you can buy extra padding really cheap on auction sites if it's really an issue. The top & bottom straps allow for a decent amount of expandability, can easily hold a thin one-man tent and/or bedroll. Side pouches are a bonus and there's 2 large back pockets for holding a map case and/or your own foam padding (just cut up a cheap foam bed-roll - again, auction sites!). Excellent value for a brand-new rucksack, only had some storage marks & dust which wiped straight off, really fast delivery, perfect little day or overnight pack. Recommended if you're happy with functionality over style, like me. And SOOOO CHEAP!!!!!
