I'm usually a medium in clothing but got a large as can be worn with other clothing it's a fairly long jacket with a shorter sleeve fit but it's really comfortable and warm and in amazing condition I am considering getting another for my dad. I've tried it out on a good yomp was faultless.

When you open the package you know that it's a quality item. It looks, feels and even smells right. Warm and waterproof (so far) - perfect for walking the dog in winter. Glad I chose the size up (XL) which even then is comfortable but snug. Overall very happy with the jacket. Won't win any prizes for fashion, but that's not the point.

Parka arrived within a couple of days of ordering and, despite its date of manufacture(assumed to be 1980 as shown on an attached label), it was in excellent condition.. No musty smell nor storage blemishes/fading. I have treated it with a waterproofing agent as an added precaution. It fits perfectly and with the weather forecast promising cold, wet and windy conditions over the next few days, I am looking forward to finding out just how good this coat really is. Great value for money.

At over 40 years old the parka is immaculate. I just can't describe how good it is, well above what I was expecting. The fit is perfect and delivery was very quick. In all I'm very pleased and would recommend Forces Uniform & Kit to anyone.

I bought this new police gore tex jacket ( there are used one's on the net) not really knowing what it was going to be like. When it arrived I was truly shocked, it is wonderful. I am a tall male 6ft 1in ang 48in chest and all genuine military jackets don't come up that big, this fits great with a nice long length. The quality is amazing, cloth, stitching, zips, pockets all first class, very good value, a named brand of this quality would cost in excess of £200, highly recommended.

My original review was a paragraph more than a side of A4 but only found out afterwards that this website can't take a full review, boooo. In summary 3 stand-out features of this German Gore-Tex coat are :- Press studded storm flap. Few of the mountaineering specialists Gore-Tex come with storm flap. Cost cutting I'd say. If they do they don't have press studs all the way, only top and bottom. Velcro hooks scratches your skin or catches fleece jacket invaribly lessening the ventilation. Few come with two-way zip of this one. When walking I never use the main zip as it is too sweaty, the most I ever are the three middle press studs. Secondly, you won't find many coats allowing easy access to side arms. This one has accesses left and right which act as ventilation instead of arm pit zips. Accesses still possible when the fleece lining is added into place. Thirdly many mountaineering Gore-Tex jackets are too short (another cost cutting measure ?) This German Police Gore-Tex at least has decent length like a rain coat should. Unfortunately it is a bit heavy for every activity but is perfect in many applications such as waiting for a bus during November when driving rain is wet but temperature is not cold enough for snow, for wearing while watching a rugby match, or indeed sentry duties. If it was available in Hi-Viz or a navy colour, I would buy a second coat of that colour without hesitation.
