“I've just worn this jacket hiking in the Lakes. Overall I love it because it's well designed, comfy, effective in keeping water out and the fabric seems really durable. However on the down side: The press studs on mine don't work properly and pop back open if I move. The durable fabric outer layer (I think there are 3 layers) is no longer water resistant and quickly gets saturated with water. Hopefully some new wash in water proofer will sort that. Just to clarify, the middle water proof membrane does work well since the water doesn't penetrate through to the lining and I stayed dry. The jacket is very heavy (mine is 1.2kg on the kitchen scales) compared to gortex hiking jackets, but of course a fraction of the price and more durable than most. Please feel free to return the jacket Nathan, we're very happy to replace it and ensure you have poppers that 'pop'. Sorry about the annoyance, as surplus goods, we can't always find the little 'foibles' like this.

“Only took a couple of days to deliver. the jacket fit's great. looks new as well. wore it today in this bad weather were having no problem rain just beaded of. great for bird watching hunting fishing recommend to all if your into these hobbies. It is nice and warm and not to heavy .very pleased thanks”

“Received when expected, packaged well. Jacket fitted although I found the arms a little on short side. Slight mark on item, nothing to worry about. Yet to be tested in bad weather, hopefully will be ok and keep me dry. It is much lighter then I expected and leaves you wondering whether it will be warm.”

“I bought this jacket to be used as a cheap effective waterproof jacket whilst metal detecting. Unfortunately it won't be seeing any muddy fields as I've decided to keep it as an everyday jacket, it's extremely comfortable, weighty and warm without being padded. The jacket itself looks virtually brand new, had to really look for signs of it being used before. I did order some Austrian gloves at the same time just to avoid delivery charge, they aren't as good and look like they are two gloves from different pairs, one much more worn than the other but I'm sure with a wash and a bit of treatment they will be fine. To be honest the jacket is so good I don't really care about the gloves!”
