“Having previously owned a pair of unissued German Desert Boots (Gore-tex) these seemed very much similar boots I had reasonably high hopes. I ordered my usual size which are a perfect fit no need for extra thick socks or insoles. I deliberately waited a few weeks from buying the boots to post a review to be more objective and fair. to put into perspective the aforementioned Desert Boots I rate as some of the best boots I've ever owned however these similar boots with their subtle differences are in fact better! they really are THE best boots I've ever owned, a comfortable firm sole which insulates my feet from stones and uneven surfaces they lace up and off very easily I'd go so far as to say easier to put on and take off than a pair of zip up 'tactical' boots I own. I would highly recommend these boots for dog walking, hiking or other activities which involve trudging through damp/wet countryside or coastline.”

“The boots arrived very quickly and in better than Grade 1 condition - they evidently had not been worn once, the leather and nylon uppers were uncreased and the soles unmarked. These boots are a black leather and green nylon version of the sandy-coloured, suede, German desert boots. Exactly the same in construction and style. Far more robust than other jungle boots. Very impressive. My only concern is that these boots are made on quite a narrow last, so I found that, even with medium-width feet, after a few hours wearing there could be some rubbing. Maybe they will stretch a bit after being worn more and regular greasing. Fantastic boots otherwise. To be able to buy new, or near new, boots of this quality for £45 is staggering!”

“Larger than my size 11.1/5 Meindl boots which-ever were always slightly too small. Not got them wet yet but a month in and my feet have never been so comfy. My feet stay dry rather than sweating and being damp all day. So pleased that I bought some German desert boots too, with the goretex for wet walks. Super service.”
