First of all I would like to commend the customer service I received whilst dealing with my issue, absolutely fantastic, a credit to this store. 2nd I would like to say how happy I am with my boots, fit like an old pair of slippers couldn't be happier. They are in fantastic condition but with the added bonus of being broken in. Can't recommend them or this company enough. Many thanks to all.

Well made and in a reasonable condition. Some small scuffs/cuts and signs of use but generally good. Taller than other mountain boots I’ve had. The sole tread is like new. Good value for the money. Fast postal service. Recommended.

The insoles are branded Meindl and there is also a label on the inside of the tongue bearing the name Meindl, so I think it is safe to conclude who manufactured these boots. On receipt I gave these a quick once over and was pleased to discover the soles were Vibram. I then gave the boots a thorough clean with a boot and shoe cleaning gel. After this I applied some Nikwax leather conditioner to the wet (damp) boots. After a few minutes I removed the excess leather conditioner and buffed the boots which now looked almost like a brand new pair. The insoles had definitely “seen better days” but these were easily and cheaply replaced (Grisport has a good selection at reasonable prices on their website). Finally I applied a couple of coats of Grangers waterproofing paste. (I find this easier to apply and more durable than Grangers G Wax). The original laces were “as new” (possibly replaced by the Army ?). To all intents and purposes I now have an almost new pair of boots and have saved something like £200, compared with buying a genuine new pair. Additionally being an “old school” type of boots they will probably outlast their more modern and light weight counterpart.. Since they have been worn previously and I applied leather conditioner I assumed they would not require much in the way of breaking in. Looking at the quality and thickness of the leather I also suspected that they would be highly waterproof even without a vapour permeable membrane (VPM). My initial assumptions have been vindicated over the last couple of weeks. These boots are very comfortable (if heavier than more modern ones). The grip is superb, as good as I have ever experienced in mud and on frost. My feet did not feel cold even standing on ice (just to test how effectively they performed). Puddles and shallow streams can be tackled with confidence. Highly recommended for even the worst winter weather.

Boots arrived very quickly after ordering. Grade one, uppers in good order for used boots plus they still have a good amount of tread left so no need to worry about having to get them resoled anytime soon. These are well made quality boots and the weight reflects this. I found them heavy at first but soon got used to them. A great boot for the winter and well worth the money.

Ok to start with quality of these boots are top notch the leather the padding the soles, they are a little weighty but you soon get used to them, they are really comfortable and able to walk miles in them 1st time out as they don't need any breaking in, they are grade 1 condition which means they have a few scuffs which make no difference once polished over which was how mine arrived with new laces and there is ample tread left on the soles. In short I am more than happy with these boots which I can see I will get plenty of years walking out of them. If your after a pair of really warm and waterproof boots just get these and if you can get a better pair of boots than this for £40 then drop me a line are order a dozen

Up till now always spent £150 upwards for decent pair of boots, not any more. £40 for boots of this quality, totally waterproof, great ankle support and already broken in! Cant go wrong. Boots and FUK highly recommended.

All set for a wet cold winter. These are great boots, fully waterproof, proved by paddling through ankle deep water in the fields from recent rain trying to catch my horse! They are also comfortable and well made and were a very good price with prompt delivery.

Delighted with this purchase, well designed Boots hard wearing and the level of ankle support is extremely impressive. A1 grade condition as advertised, there were a few small scuffs on the walls of the Vibram soles but as they are surplus this was not un expected. Happy to reccomend these boots and this seller. Great service from order to delivery.
