“These are very strong traditional leather boots, no fabric or synthetic uppers and are very supportive around the ankles with excellent lateral support, possibly the stiffest I have ever had with combat boots - not surprising as they are for parachuting. The lacing system is very simple and despite being high leg rather than ankle-length the boots are very quick to get on and off, they actually remind me a little of ski boots! Being unissued/unworn they do require breaking in, a process which is progressing with the usual soak in warm water and go for a walk technique. Size-wise they appear to be pretty much as given, I take a wide fitting and these boots ordered in my normal shoe size fit very well with thick socks. I can find no apparent defects, all the furniture appears to be solidly in place. Overall very pleased.”
