“These arrived promptly and well packaged. They are boots from a different age (the pair I received are dated 1983), and as such are very heavy. The leather uppers are thick and stiff but are fundamentally well conditioned.They have obviously seen action with plenty of cuts to the leather, although none of these have completely penetrated. The sole is in good condition and has little wear. A very thin leather insole is present, this is about 3 sizes smaller than the shoe. The shoe is true to size but the ankle/lower leg skirt is broad and can barely be laced closed without overlapping the lace hooks. After adjusting lacing and finding new insoles I have found these comfortable to wear, and they save me having to use ankle weights for training! As a vintage item these are good value and provide a genuine experience of past military kit. The modern hiker would be disappointed compared to modern footwear, though.”

“overall the boots were in great condition! The leather on the boots was in amazing condition and also seems like it was cleaned before shipping as it had a decent shine to it but this could also be from great storage conditions. My pair was repaired with new soles and it's a nice job, with comfy and durable replacements to the soles. My only issue with them is a small gash on the back of one of the shoes. Seems to be from repairs but it's not that noticeable unless it is pointed out to you. Very happy with the order”
