This is a quality smock at a very reasonable price. Delivery once purchased was very quick too. The smock itself is a military copy and you can tell that although lightweight it is not too bad for the price you pay. I love this jacket as I can add whatever layers I need according to the time of year. Anyway the smock gives me room enough to add more base layers when the temperature goes down. All in all very pleased Thankyou.

I was not expecting a top quality item but the smock is ok for my purposes. The hem draw cords are overly long, the finish of the front zip stop at the bottom is a bit cheap and shoddy. It suffers from the same lower hem problem as the real service issue smocks, ie the velcro is not man enough to hold it together, so you need to secure the draw cord and tuck the hem under. Button tapes are over long on mine too. The hood adjuster could be better, but if you keep it round the back of the hood it's no problem. The label inside the neck of the jacket is a cheap copy of the issue label, and a complete waste of time as it fools no one. Personal adjustments will be addition of bungee cord and cord locks where needed, and some extra proofing to make it a bit more weather proof, but as a green jacket for general outdoor use it's fine. As I've said, for the money it's ok, if it lasts a year or so then nothing lost, if it lasts longer it will be a bargain.

The plain Olive Green Drab colour (not color please) is great, DPM is not always appropriate. I think the material itself is good. Very soft and smooth but feels strong too. I think the fit is good and true to size, although they only seem available in 180 cm height. But pleased with the generous sleeve length. It is lightweight but because the material is so fine it has good windproof quality. I find the pull cords on the hood all a bit strange and think they should be changed on future productions. Yes, there are a few little areas that will benefit from some home stitching which I will do. I'm also going to remove the rather strange (large) hood adjusting plastic clamp by using some standard small plastic spring toggles. I will add these to the other cords too. Great for the price!

Overall a very good garment, sizing is as marked... My only downer would be the lower quality stitching around some of the button holes and the overly long button tabs... Would I recommend this item to my friends? Yes... But with the proviso that some minor restitching will need to be done. In future I will purchase another for field/bushcraft use along with this one...

Good bird-watching jacket. Keeps out wind without roasting me. Tough polyester-cotton material. (Not intended to be warm or waterproof but it will keep out the wet for a time.)Pockets super - field glasses, notebook, pencils, sandwiches, GPS, map, torch, batteries, field guide, camera, mobile phone - all go in the pockets. Like the buttons, held on by cloth strips not thread. Colour excellent for this use. Stitched the hood back an inch to improve fit. Material dries fast.
